Abstract Kplo-MAGnetometer (KMAG) is one of the scientific instruments Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO) set to be launched in 2022. Its objectives are magnetic field investigation and technical demonstration near surface Moon. Specifically, it will investigate lithospheric magnetism Moon measure electromagnetic wave properties lunar surface. It consists three fluxgate magnetometers on a 1.2 m long boom, which relatively shorter than boom used other missions. The included for measurements, redundancy checks, multi-sensor investigation. an inner Anisotropic Magneto-Resistive sensor perform simultaneous sampling correct interference caused by spacecraft. fully integrated flight model assembly showed that magnetometer noise level was less 30 pT Hz −1/2 at 1 stability within ±0.2 nT 10 rate. This paper describes configuration performance KMAG using multi-sensing method. KPLO, THEMIS-ARTEMIS spacecraft, Commercial Payload Service modules their operational phase simultaneously. Therefore, able contribute multi-site in-situ measurements field. We expect provide up-to-date observation data opportunity observation.
